Episode 54 – Este Lewis

Would you want a wall in your house covered with sticks of bubble gum, bandaids or cheese crackers? Artist Este Lewis is a photographer and print maker known for her quirky wallpaper using every day objects as the design. (Some pictures are below, and you can go to her website to browse the entire delightful portfolio). The effect is one of the viewer being “enveloped in a non-obstructive way” by the design.

Find out how she started with beets, carrots, and tea bags, and hear abut upcoming collaborative projects with other artists at Dydrm (pronounced “daydream”).

Also, a big thank you to Liz Libre from Linda and Harriett for blogging about Este, which is how I heard of her.
